Of anything I've ever smelled in my life, this BEATS IT TO smithereens. I think this will be lovely in the fall and winter. Even my husband said this is a date night perfume a special one. A bit addictive, I've worn her two days in a row now and am still loving every moment. My bottles juice definitely is darker than these pictures, but its the right juice just has darkened a bit. I am NOT an alien fan. Deep amber, vanilla, balsamic jasmine. Alien essence absolu has reached the level of an iconic perfume and deservedly so. Well towards the end of the bottle, something magical happened. I usually want to choose this one over all the others in my possession. If Alien is a stunning, but very distracted, unfocussed and absent goddes, frolicking between the stars and discovering new worlds of wonder, only to forget about them the moment she discovers something else, then Alien Essence Absolue is her mother, residing on Earth. It's sexy, captivating, and alluring, all while smelling of a mix between the original Alien, a root beer float, cream soda, caramelized vanilla, and amber. Picture thisnight time in early 20th century India. I so wish this was still available, I would have purchased a back-up bottle. She is dressed for an evening at the Club, hair glossy and marcel waved, wearing a floor length emerald green bias-cut satin gown. Its rich, deep, inviting, and lures people in for more. I think it has been undiscovered as a dupe for Essence Absolue simply because women dont wear it! It's beautifully mixed with amber and vanilla. This is ultra sexy and powerful feme at it's best. THIS SMELLS LIKE MONEY! I just adore this. I also got a momentary whiff of baby powder (the orris), but that faded in an instant. There are some left at department stores online but I don't know if once they are sold out if they will be restocked. I haven't been on this website since 2018. I do get subtle almond and licorice, though not mentioned in the notes. I smell almost every ingredient - which is rare for me, since I do not have a super-nose. She would pass by swiftly and leave a trail that was like a magical spell, I don't remember ever reacting to a fragrance so notably. Alien Essence Absolue is such an improvement on the original. On my skin, the opening is reminiscent of Dr. Pepper. At first, this smells exactly like Alien to me. It is a very warm alien from the strong amber but it has that screechy jasmine from the og Alien with even more screechy myrrh. I paid the outrageous price on ebay to get a 1 ounce bottle of this beauty. What can I say? Just received a couple of days ago and at first spray, I didn't like it because I thought it smelled medicinal but afterwards, it blossomed into a creamy vanilla white floral. At first I thought I didn't need both in my collection, but interesting things are happening now that the vanilla and amber have come out to play. So I'm not bonkers. It has the Alien DNA, but with a creamier, deeper kind of twist to it. I might need to wear it more often. This fragrance is lush. Lots of compliments, but this is very potent. All I smell is warm vanilla-- but vanilla like a bottle of vanilla extract, not like a sugar-y vanilla. Love it and I'm so sad that it's probably discontinued, from what I've read so far. Opening is medicinal amber with faint menthol that I can taste in my mouth. Untouchable, and expensive. Which is what is going to have people following you around if you wear this fragrance. The new versions have just Mugler in caps on the box. I get that spiky cold menthol note at the top that totally caught me off-guard. They are pretty similar. At the moment, this fragrance is definitely not something you can wear due to it being quite hot and sticky, well at least in London. I want to buy this as the notes sound wonderful, but I am wary of doing so because some have mentioned a mentholated quality, and others have said it was very sweet. the vanilla and jasmine fit so well together but i have a problem.. my mother wants to take it away from me for herself! Essence Absolue is instead, smoother, richer and boozier. We have different noses and chemistry, what doesn't work for some work marvelously with others, so if you're on the fence due to the reviews, I recommend you get a sample, it just may end up being one of your favorite fragrances if not your favorite. This wears like a heavy blanket of sweet yummy delight with an edge of sophisticated spice. The smell of it lingered on my clothes over 24 hours from when I first applied it just on my wrists. This would be great for wearing a sweater on a cold night alone or wearing very little in an intimate situation.
